Talking about it may not be the whole picture.
Talking can help us make sense of our experiences. It can also be useful to notice how those experiences affect our feelings, reactions, and daily habits.
Free live masterclass for Muslim women
Some patterns begin in childhood and quietly follow us into adult life — in the way we speak, respond, and relate to the people we love. In this free 120-minute Inner Child Healing masterclass, Bushra Yahya will explore these patterns through psychology and the light of Islam, and share ways to begin responding with more understanding and rahmah.

If you are honest with yourself
Kabhi kabhi bachpan mein hum apne baare mein kuch baatein maan lete hain — that our needs can wait, that we must keep everyone happy, or that we should not speak up. Those old lessons can stay with us, even when life has changed.
These struggles do not mean there is something wrong with you. Sometimes, old experiences shape how we respond today. Understanding those patterns can be a meaningful first step towards change.
Why the same patterns can keep returning
It does not mean you have failed. Sometimes, we understand an idea in our mind, but find it hard to put into practice in everyday life.
Talking can help us make sense of our experiences. It can also be useful to notice how those experiences affect our feelings, reactions, and daily habits.
Positive thoughts can be helpful, but they may not be enough on their own. Sometimes we need to understand where a belief came from and practise a different response, one small step at a time.
This work is not about blaming your parents or yourself. Islam reminds us of rahmah (mercy), tawbah (turning back to Allah), and tawakkul (trust in Allah). These can guide us as we reflect and choose how we want to move forward.
Noticing the feelings and tension that can show up in everyday life, and learning to respond to them with care.
Noticing old beliefs such as "my needs can wait" or "I have to keep everyone happy to be loved."
Making space for faith, rahmah, tawakkul, and tazkiyah as you reflect on your experiences and seek a way forward.
This is Inner Child Healing in the light of Islam — a chance to look at your experiences, beliefs, and faith together, with compassion and practical reflection.
In their own words
I was using the words, same as my mother, without even realizing.
I started understanding that it was not my children who were troubling me more... they were my childhood wounds. After attending those wounds I started connecting with the child inside my children.

There was another message from him, saying you drafted this letter so beautifully.. I am feeling so proud to read this. I felt sooo happy and relieved alhamdulillah. And slept calmly after that.

Inner child healing is a journey where I met myself wounded, raw, unprotected and was able to heal myself.

From superheroes thay became real humans who are doing their best possible in ways they have learnt and they believe to be right for them and me. They are my heroes, real and authentic. The hurt and complaints are gone.

Jab mene aakhiri line likhi to mai puri tarah mutmaeen thi, mai unko accept kar rhi thi aur apne aap ko bhi.

Who is teaching
I lost my mother at seventeen, and my father at twenty-six — five months before my wedding. For years, I carried a sadness and heaviness that I did not know how to make sense of.
Positive thinking alone was not enough for me. My journey included inner work and returning to the guidance and mercy of Allah. Alhamdulillah, I have learned a great deal about myself through that process.
I funded my Master’s degree and certifications while raising two children and managing a home. I have guided over a hundred Muslim women through this work. In this session, I will share what I have learned through my training, experience, and the women I have supported.
